RZM M7/80 1197/39 SS Dagger

An SS M33 Dagger by RZM M7/80 1197/39 (Gustav C. Spitzer). The blade on this one looks great. The acid etched "Meine Ehre heisst Treue" motto and "RZM M7/80 1197/39 SS" maker mark are both beautifully executed! The tip comes to a sharp point and the fit is nice and tight! Some crossgrain can still be seen throughout. The blade rates Exc+/Exc++. It shows age grey throughout and has been lightly cleaned. The scabbard is steel based and black painted, it has been repainted after the period. It has a small pressure mark to the obverse. The steel based plated scabbard fittings shows ageing. All four screws are intact, the top two are replacements. The scabbard / crossguard fit is near perfect and closes with a snap! The alloy based and nickel silver plated crossguards show age matching the scabbard fittings. About 80% of the plating remains intact. The black died hardwood grip is intact and it's rough. Several chips, cracks and flakes throughout. At some point someone has attempted to repair some of the damage. The aluminum eagle retains nice detail and has a perfect fit. The SS roundel retains 100% of its enamel and also has a perfect fit. A fine piece by Gustav C. Spitzer!
