A great looking piece! It is constructed out of a die struck aluminum base that has been silver washed and black painted. The obverse is in the shape of a shield and depicts a German national eagle with closed wings clutching a wreathed swastika in its talons above a lined backing and fire that is in a bowl which is all within "Unser Opfer Gau Düsseldorf 1937 WHW 1938" (Our Sacrifice) on a black pebbled base. The reverse features a flat back with a crimped vertical steel well working pin! It measures 7/8 of an inch wide by 1 1/8 of an inch tall. Wonderful detail and condition!
