A solid example all around! The blade on this one looks great. The crisp acid etched "Alles fur Deutschland" motto and "C. Linder Solingen Merscheid" maker mark are both beautifully executed! The crossgrain is beautifully running the full length of the blade! It has a perfect fit and perfect tip! The blade rates in at an Exc++. There is the common spotting throughout and runner markings. The steel based, brown anodized scabbard is in excellent condition! It remains completely dent free and retains a beautiful brown finish! The solid nickel scabbard fittings look excellent! The ball has a few bruises but continues to retain a round shape. All four scabbard screws remain intact. The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect and it closes with a snap! The reverse of the lower crossguard is Gau stamped "Nrh" (Niederrhein). The grip / crossguard fits are perfect! The brown hardwood grip looks excellent. There are 2 wee flake chips along with the odd pressure mark throughout. No cracks or chips! The solid nickel eagle is beautifully detailed and has a perfect fit! The SA roundel also has a perfect fit and retains 100% of its enamel. A nice piece all around!
