The blade on this one is absolutely beautiful! The dark and crisp acid etched "Alles fur Deutschland" motto and "Ed. Wüsthof Solingen" maker mark are both beautifully executed! The crossgrain is easily visible from hilt to tip! It has a perfect fit and perfect tip! The blade rates in at an easy NM! It only shows the odd bit of spotting. The steel based black enamel painted scabbard body is in excellent condition! It hold 95%+ paint coverage and remains completely dent free! The solid nickel scabbard fittings look excellent! The ball has a few bruises but continues to retain a nice round shape. All four scabbard screws remain intact! The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect and it closes with a snap! The reverse of the lower crossguard is Gau stamped "He" (Hessen). The grip / crossguard fits are perfect! The brown hardwood grip looks excellent! There are pressure marks throughout but that's it! No flakes, crack, or chips! The solid nickel eagle is beautifully detailed and has a perfect fit! The SA roundel also has a perfect fit and retains 100% of its enamel. To top this beauty off is a two piece hanger assembly. The clip is "DRGM" marked and works perfectly. A wonderful example of an early NSKK dagger that you will be proud to own!
