An excellent early mottoed piece! The blade on this one looks excellent! The crisp acid etched "Blut und Ehre!" motto and "Anton Wingen Jr Solingen Ges. Geschützt" maker mark are both beautifully executed! The fit is nice and tight, the tip comes to a perfect point. Some crossgrain continues to remain visible as well! The blade rates an easy Exc++/NM. It shows the common surface scratches, minor age grey/spotting and one wee hit to the cutting edge. The brown leather buffer pad remains intact. The steel based black enamel painted scabbard is in wonderful shape! There is the odd scratch yet 98% paint coverage remains intact. It also continues to remain completely dent free! The brown scabbard leather remains in wonderful shape! It has all of its rivets intact and the button continues to work well! The steel based nickel-silver plated hilt is near perfect, with 97% of its plating still intact! The black bakelite checkered grip plates are tightly secured and in perfect condition! The small early HJ diamond retains 99%+ of its enamel. This is a wonderful piece I know you would feel proud to own!
