Another excellent etched example we are proud to offer! The obverse of the frosted etched blade, display an elegant E. Pack No 7 “Zur Erinnerung an meine Dienstzeit” inscription with detailed oak leaves and acorns and three soldiers using an anti-tank gun! There is no makers mark though we can tell it is pack by the etch. All of the features are crisp and clear, just the way you want to see them! The blade rates an Exc++/NM! There are only minor surface scratches throughout. The buffer pad remains continues to remain intact. The steel based, black enamel painted scabbard looks good. It shows some oxidization spotting wear throughout yet continues to 85% coverage and remains completely dent free. The original throat retaining screw remains intact. The hilt looks excellent! It continues to hold a nice and bright finish! The black bakelite checkered grip plates are perfect! They are tightly secured to the hilt with two steel rivets. The pommel has a well working button! Listed as Rare, see page 165 of Techet’s “German Etched Dress Bayonets”. Truly a beautiful etch that would fit quite nicely into your collection!
