An excellent early example here! The blade on this one looks great! The acid etched "Blut und Ehre!" motto and the dark and crisp "Carl Wüsthof, Solingen Gladiatorwerk Ges. Geschützt" maker mark are beautifully executed! The fit is nice and tight and the tip comes to a perfect point. The blade rates a solid Exc++. It shows the common surface scratches and age greying throughout. The original brown leather buffer pad continues to remain intact. The steel based black enamel painted scabbard is in great shape! It retains 80% of its original paint coverage and remains completely dent free! The blackened scabbard leather remains in excellent shape! All of its rivets are intact and the button continues to work well! It is also "LFS" marked! The steel based nickel-silver plated hilt is in excellent shape, with 99% of its plating still intact! The black bakelite chequered grip plates are tightly secured. There is the smallest crack to the right side of the diamond (hardly noticeable). The early HJ diamond retains 99% of its enamel! A fine example!
