Graduation Marked NPEA Student Dagger in Reference

This great example was purchased from a fellow collector years ago sold to a forum moderator and now back to me again years later. I'm always careful when buying NPEA's cause they are so well faked.. as so should you be too! This one was looked at and given a blessing by Ron Wienand author of the only references dedicated to the variation. Actually Ron liked it so much he featured it on pg 59 of his most recent NPEA book!! So yes, you can sleep well owing this one. Blade is an NM Burgsmuller example. It shows mild in/out marks but no pitting, greying or finger prints. Just no problems here. Original buffer pad is intact. Grip is a nice light hardwood just on the edge of being blond. No cracks, chips, or damage, just normal pressure marks that we see on most of these grips. The fittings are all early nickel and engraved "N57" to the lower and ""NPEA. Naumburg Weihn. 35" to the upper. This school inaugurated in 1934 was located just north of Nuremberg. Interesting to see the low number is consistent with the early '35 date as are the early nickel fittings. Dent free scabbard is again early with a black/brown anodized finish as some of the early ones were. Both dome-head screws are intact, and for your advanced collectors indeed the underside of the frog lug is stamped. I would say 95% of anodizing is intact to the front and 75%+ to the reverse.
