A nice looking piece here! The bright blade on this one looks great! The dark acid etched "F. & A. Helbig Gaefler Steinbachkr. M." maker mark is nicely executed! The crossgrain is stunning and runs the full length of the blade! It has a perfect tip and fit. The blade rates a solid Exc++. It has the common age grey/spotting and surface scratches throughout. The blue pebbled leather buffer pad continues to remain intact. The steel based blue pebbled leather covered scabbard looks great. It shows the odd scuff throughout yet continues to hold 92%+ coverage and has a near perfect seam! The solid nickel-silver fittings look great! The ball continues to remain perfectly round and all four screws remain intact! The throat is correctly marked with the DLV logo. The scabbard/dagger fit is perfect. The solid nickel-silver hilt looks excellent! The wood based blue pebbled leather covered grip retains 95%+ leather coverage. The crossguard and pommel match the scabbard fittings in color and patina. The end of the crossguard is "K" marked. The black enameled swastikas are near perfect! Finally, the original hanger is intact with a solid well working nickel clip. A nicely patinaed and marked example!
