A highly desirable variation that is completely matching, very nice! The blade on this one is looks good. The acid etched "AWS Alcoso Solingen" maker mark is nicely executed. The tip is perfect and the crossgrain looks great! The blade rates Exc++ . It has never been cleaned and shows minor age. The leather buffer pad remains intact. The steel based and nickel-silver plated scabbard is in excellent condition! It provides wonderful detail with the random pebbling and hand enhanced oak leaves and acorn bands. It also remains completely dent free. The original, more efficient single, throat retaining screw remains intact and unturned. The alloy based, heavily nickel-silver plated unique Alcoso "High-Lift" eagle crossguard provides good details with some honest wear! The crossguard is a wee bit loose and I tried to snug it up by turning the pommel but the pommel is frozen in place so I'll not force it. The looseness is common on Army daggers and caused by the blade butt cutting through the leather buffer. It's no big deal but I wanted to be complete in my description. The unique pommel and ferrule are also beautifully detailed with nicely burnish backgrounds and proud oak leaves and acorns! Look how all the patina matches, Gotta Love it! The white celluloid over plaster grip looks excellent! A few little spots to the edges but no cracks, chips or splits! An desirable all matching Alcoso variation!
