1st Model Luftwaffe Dagger by Tiger

I always liked aluminum 1st Model Luftwaffe Daggers as they seem to remain so nice and bright! The plated blade on this one looks good! The stamped "Tiger Solingen" maker mark is nicely executed! It has a nicely plated mirror like finish! The fit remains nice and tight and the tip is perfect! The blade rates Exc+/Exc++. It has a few rough spots to the edges along with minor plating loss, surface scratches and the commonly seen runner marks. The original blue pebbled leather buffer pad continues to remain intact. The original blue, pebbled, leather scabbard body remains in excellent condition! It has the odd pressure mark/scuff and some black spots yet it retains 98% coverage and has a near perfect seam! The silvered aluminum scalloped scabbard fittings remain nice and bright, matching the hilt in color and wear. The fittings are tightly secured with all five original screws! The aluminum chain has 10 lower and 7 upper ringlets that ends at a well working "Ges. Gesch. OLC" marked clip. The hilt looks great! The four gold gilded sun wheel swastikas are just beautiful! The grip leather remains in good condition! It shows period age wear and toning. The brass double twisted wire wrap remains tightly intact. A very nice aluminum example!
