Here we have a DRKB Veterans 2nd Pattern 50 Year Membership Pin! The two piece pin is constructed out of a die struck tombak base that has been gold gilded and contains black and red enamel work. The obverse features, within a shield shape, the black Kyffhäuser monument on a white field and is above a NSDAP National flag. This is all underneath an encircled "50" on a black enamel field and is surrounded by a gold oak leaf wreath. The reverse shows a flat back with an embossed "1." and "Ges. Gesch.". It also has a soldered and knurled stickpin to the back. It measures approximately 15/16 inches wide by 2 9/16 inches tall. It continues to retain nice enamel work and detail! An excellent piece that really took some lengthy service to get!
