A quality SS Dagger! The blade on this one looks good. The acid etched "Meine Ehre Heißt Treue" motto and "RZM M7/14 1936" (P.D. Lüneschlöss, Solingen)maker mark are both nicely executed! The fit remains nice and tight and the tip comes to a sharp point. The blade rates an Exc+/Exc++. It has been lightly cleaned and shows surface scratches throughout. The scabbard on this one is a real beauty! The scabbard body is steel based and black enamel painted. It retains 99% paint coverage and remains completely dent free! The steel based nickel-silver plated scabbard fittings look excellent! They retain 99%+ plating coverage and remain looking nice and bright! The ball continues to retain its original round shape and all four screws remain intact. The scabbard fit is near perfect and closes with a snap! The solid nickel crossguards look excellent as well, matching the scabbard fittings quite nicely. Occasionally we come across plated scabbard fittings with solid nickel guards. This can correctly be a transitional production method and P.D. Lüneschl?ss is known for doing this, see page 163 of Whitman's SS reference book. The black died hardwood grip has several cracks and flakes yet still looks good. The solid nickel eagle is nicely detailed and has a perfect fit. The SS roundel retains 80% of its enamel and also has a perfect fit! This one also comes with an unmarked vertical hanger. The hanger has nice leather, an oval buckle, brown painted rivets and a well working "DRGM" marked clip that holds a black belt/equipment loop. A nice looking piece!
