A gorgeous example with a unique feature! The blade on this one is stunning! The "RZM MZ/49 1939" (Friedrich Herder A.S., Solingen) maker mark is beautifully executed! Check out the maker mark "RZM MZ"? what MZ! Yep not M7. Nothing to fear here this variation is known and it's accepted as a factory error. I've examined this piece and it is completely correct. I've also seen these with a motto as well. I will provide a COA with it free of charge just ask. This piece shows stunning crossgrain that runs the full length of the blade. Along with a solid fit and a perfect tip, the blade rates Mint-. It shows runner marks but that's it. The original black leather buffer pad remains intact. The steel based, black enamel painted scabbard is in near perfect condition! It retains 99%+ of its paint coverage and remains completely dent free! The folded over black leather strap is tightly secured to the reverse by two rivets. The leather is in wonderful condition! The top button works well. All of the rivets remain intact. The hilt is constructed out of steel base that has been nickel plated. The plating remains in excellent condition, being 99% intact. There are two black checkered, bakelite grip plates that are secured to the hilt by two nickel rivets. They are tightly secured and remain in perfect condition. To the center obverse is a properly pined HJ diamond logo. It is made out of a nickel-silver base that has been silver washed and contains multi-colored enamel work. The enamel remains completely intact! This is a unique piece that is in gorgeous condition!
