Here's a nice looking RZM piece! The blade on this one looks excellent! The acid etched "Alles fur Deutschland" motto and "RZM M7/49" (Friedrich Herder A.S., Solingen) maker mark are both dark, crisp and beautifully executed! The crossgrain is stunning as it shines against the light, all the way from the hit to tip! The tip comes to a perfectly sharp point and the fit remains nice and tight! The blade rates Exc++/NM. It shows the common runner marks and minor age greying. The steel based, brown enamel painted scabbard looks great. It continues to hold 97%+ of its original paint. There is one small pressure mark to the obverse. The steel based, nickel-silver plated scabbard fittings look excellent with 99%+ plating still intact! The ball remains perfectly round and all four screws remain intact! The scabbard/crossguard fit is perfect and closes with a snap! The alloy based, nickel-silver plated crossguards are in good shape. They show the common plating loss towards the grip yet continue to retain with 92%+ coverage. The brown hardwood grip looks wonderful! It shows minimal pressure marks yet no cracks, chips or flakes! The aluminum eagle shows beautiful detail and has a perfect fit!! The SA roundel retains 99%+ of its enamel and also has a perfect fit! A great looking SA dagger!
