Dutch - NSB Bullion Arm Shield
Beautiful craftsmanship! It is constructed out of a gold bullion, orange, white and blue rayon along with red and black wool which covers a white cardboard base and a white cotton backing. The triangular shaped obverse features a centrally placed Dutch Republic Lion (crowned rampant lion holding a sword and arrows, with its tongue sticking out), above an orange, white and blue Prinsenvlag (Prince’s Flag) shield and surrounded by “NSB” which is all above a half black and half red backing and bordered in gold and black. The reverse shows a white cotton backing with threads throughout. The obverse shows mothing holes. The detail work is beautiful! It measures 2 3/8 inches tall by 2 5/8 inches wide. A rare find!
