A gorgeous example! This one rates 8 out of 10 for rarity according to McSaar's SA rarity rating list! The blade on this one looks beautiful! The acid etched "Alles für Deutschland" motto and "Hartkopf & Co. Solingen" maker mark are both dark, crisp and beautifully executed! The crossgrain in gorgeous as it runs the full length of the blade! The fit remains nice and tight and the tip comes to a perfect point! The blade rates an easy NM! It shows the common surface scratches but that's it! The steel based black enamel painted scabbard is looks beautiful as well! It retains 98%+ paint coverage and remains completely dent free. The solid nickel scabbard fittings are just a beautiful! The ball retains a perfect round shape and all four screws remain intact. The scabbard to crossguard fit is near perfect and closes with a snap! Neat to notice here that this piece was obviously stored with the scabbard on backwards. Take a second and look how the scabbard fitting patina match the crossguards. Very cool and that's why I pictured it that way!. The reverse of the lower crossguard is stamped "Nm" (Nordmark). The brown hardwood grip is in excellent shape as well! It has the commonly seen pressure marks throughout but that's it! No chips cracks or flakes! The solid nickel eagle has nice detail and a perfect fit. The SA roundel retains 96%+ of its enamel and also has a perfect fit! A quality piece you won't want to miss!
