Imperial Ersatz Combat Bayonet

A neat one here! All Ersatz type of bayonets will fit on both German M1888 and M1898 rifles. The 9 5/8 inch, single fullered blade on this one remain nice and bright. It rates Exc+ It shows heavy age grey, hits and the tip is dulled. The scabbard is steel based and grey/green painted. It has several pressure marks and oxidization spotting throughout. The single throat retaining screw remains intact. The crossguard has a small wiggle to it and is marked “4062”. The cast grip is constructed out of an iron base and is riveted through the tang. The button continues to work well. A cool bayonet!
