Here's an example out of a US Vat's estate we recently acquired. The blade on this one rates Exc++. There's just a few dots of age to the obverse blood grooved. The blade is stamped with the maker mark "BA"" matching the scabbard. The scabbard is stamped with a number as well that does not match the quillion. The scabbard has a few bumps and light surface scratches but the anodized finish looks great and the fit is perfect! The crossguard is secured with two rivets. The brown hardwood grip plates are in decent shape! A few bumps but no chips or splits. They also have a perfect fit, being tightly secured by two rivets.
