Early NSKK Dagger by Malsch & Ambronn

I love the look of this maker mark! The blade on this one looks good. The acid etched "Alles für Deutschland" motto and "Malsch & Ambronn Steinbach" maker mark are both beautifully executed! The crossgrain is easily visible all the way from the hilt to the tip. The fit remains nice and tight and the tip comes to a perfect point! This blade rates Exc+. It shows heavy age grey, spotting and surface scratches throughout. The steel based, black enamel painted scabbard looks great! It shows minor scratches throughout yet continues to hold 97%+ paint coverage. It continues to remain completely dent free. The solid nickel scabbard fittings look great matching the crossguards quite nicely! The ball has several bruises yet retains a round shape. All four scabbard screws remain tightly intact. The ring is slightly off. The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect and closes with a snap! The reverse of the lower crossguard is marked "Th" (Thuringen). The brown hardwood grip looks good! It has a hairline crack running through the roundel to both sides. It also shows the common pressure marks throughout but no chips or flakes! The solid nickel eagle retains beautiful details and has a perfect fit. The SA looks good and retains 90%+ of its enamel. A good one!
