Early SA Dagger by Carl Jul. Krebs

An excellent example I'm happy to offer to the collecting community! The blade on this one looks excellent! The acid etched "Alles für Deutschland" motto and Krebs maker mark are both dark, crisp and beautifully executed! The crossgrain is easily visible all the way from the hilt to the tip. The fit remains nice and tight and the tip comes to a perfect point! This blade rates in at an easy Exc++/NM. It only shows minor spotting and the common surface scratches throughout. The steel based, brown anodized scabbard is in wonderful condition! It has a nice brown finish to it along with traces of its original factory laquer! There are minor scratches and spots throughout. It continues to remain dent free! The solid nickel silver scabbard fittings look excellent matching the crossguards in color and patina! The ball continues to retain its original round shape and all four scabbard screws remain tightly intact. The reverse of the lower crossguard is marked "He" (Hessen). The brown hardwood grip looks excellent! It shows several pressure marks throughout but that's it! No cracks, flakes or chips. The solid nickel eagle retains beautiful details and has a perfect fit. The SA roundel has a perfect fit and retains 20%+ of its enamel. A beauty piece!
