What a beautiful piece with tons of factory lacquer! Completely matching parts and patina! A super blade on this one! With stunning crossgrain, this beautifully executed Knights head "WKC Solingen" maker marked blade is perfectly seated into the brown leather buffer and ends at a perfect tip! The blade rates a solid NM! It shows a couple dots of mosquito droppings-tiny. The silver plated, steel based scabbard provides wonderful detail, with the hand enhanced bands and random pebbling throughout. The scabbard retains its original single throat retaining screw and remains completely dent free! The best part here is look at that lacquer! The WKC's "tomahawk" style Heer crossguard is sought after among collectors! This one is nice, with beautiful details throughout especially to the eagle's chest, wings and talons. It is silver plated with an excellent finish and best of all look at all the lacquer remaining to the top of the crossguard. You just never see this anymore! The pommel and ferrule are also beautifully detailed with proud oak leaves and acorns to a burnished pebbled background. Another great feature about this piece is the lemon yellow trylon grip! No cracks, chips or splits! A really superior Army for the fussy guy. Never been in a collection, purchased from the Vet's family by my picker last weekend.
