A nicely patinaed piece! The blade on this one looks fine. The acid etched "Alles für Deutschland" motto and stamped "Gebr. Heller" maker mark are both nicely executed! The fit remains nice and tight and the tip comes to a sharp point! This blade rates Exc. It has been sharpened, cleaned, shows age grey and scratches throughout. The steel based, black enamel painted scabbard looks great. I believe it has been re-painted. It holds 97%+ paint coverage. It also remains completely dent free. The solid nickel silver scabbard fittings look great and have nicely patinaed with time matching the crossguards quite well! The ball has a few bruises to the very bottom yet it retains a round shape. All four screws remain tightly intact. The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect and closes with a snap! The reverse of the lower crossguard is marked "Th" (Thuringen). The brown hardwood grip looks great. There is one flake/chip to the reverse and it shows the common pressure marks throughout. The solid nickel eagle retains beautiful details and has a perfect fit. The SA roundel is high through is absolutely fine. It retains 95%+ of its enamel. A solid NSKK dagger!
