When guys ask me "Which one should I get?", I always recommend to them get the best one you can afford! Condition is the most desirable characteristic (in the majority of cases) so it will always be sought after and you will never have anyone saying anything other than how beautiful it really is! Well this one is beautiful! Honestly,. I have sold over one thousand of these things in my life and this is in the top 5. It honestly must have come out of a time capsule. The blade on this one is a real treat! The acid etched "Alles für Deutschland" motto and maker mark are both dark, crisp and beautifully executed! The crossgrain is easily visible all the way from the hilt to the tip. The fit remains nice and tight and the tip comes to a perfect point! This blade rates in at an easy Mint-. It only shows a few dots of age. The steel based, brown anodized scabbard is gorgeous. It remains completely dent free and retains 95%+ of its original factory lacquer! Just beautiful, shoot guys most collectors out there don't even know what lacquer is!! This is how these things are supposed to look!! The solid nickel scabbard fittings look excellent matching the crossguards in color and patina! The ball continues to retain its original round shape and all four scabbard screws remain tightly intact. The reverse of the lower crossguard is marked "Nrh". The brown hardwood grip looks beautiful! It only shows the slightest pressure marks throughout. No chips, cracks, hair lines or flakes! Nope no nothing. The solid nickel eagle retains beautiful details and has a perfect fit. The SA roundel is mint! It has a perfect fit and retains 100% of its enamel. If you are anal, this one is for you! Look no further this is the one for your collection!!
