A beautiful blade, with a very cool maker mark- nice! The bright blade on this one looks excellent! The acid etched "Alles für Deutschland" motto and maker mark are both crisp and beautifully executed! The crossgrain is easily visible from hilt to tip. The fit remains nice and tight and the tip comes to a perfect point! This blade rates Exc++/NM. It shows just the slightest in/out scratches and minor age spotting throughout. The steel based, brown anodized scabbard looks wonderful! It continues to hold 99% of its original factory brown finish to it! The solid nickel scabbard fittings look great matching the crossguards nicely. The ball has a wee bump to it yet it retains a nice round shape. All four screws remain tightly intact. The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect and closes with a snap! The reverse of the lower crossguard is marked "He" (Hessen). The brown hardwood grip looks good. There is a flake to the upper reverse crossguard fit with the common pressure marks. The solid nickel eagle retains beautiful detail! The SA roundel has a perfect fit and retains 99%+ of its enamel though has darkened somewhat. Included is a later well marked Assmann RZM hanger. A great piece.
