Certainly the darling of the collecting community and the most requested maker. Boker made the best SS dagger of the period and today it continues to exhibit that same quality. Advanced collectors know this and they snap 'em up faster than I can find 'em! The blade on this one is a stunning example! The acid etched "Meine Ehere Heisst Treue" motto and “Böker Solingen” maker mark are both dark, crisp and beautifully executed. The crossgrain is exquisite as it runs the full length of the blade. The tip is perfect as is the fit! The full blade rates in at NM! It shows the slightest spotting and the common runner marks. The black anodized scabbard is in the same condition as the blade! The body remains completely dent free and continues to hold the majority of its original finish! You just don’t find that anymore!?! Both solid nickel scabbard fittings look excellent. There is a couple small pin-prick marks to the body and all four screws remain intact. The solid nickel crossguards look excellent as well. They match the scabbard fittings in color and condition. The reverse of the lower crossguard is marked "I" (Munich). The crossguards to grip fits are perfect! The dyed hardwood grip is in wonderful shape! You can hardly find them like this anymore. It remains chip, crack and flake free! Wow! It shows the odd pressure mark from honest period wear, but that’s it. The solid nickel eagle has a perfect fit and retains beautiful detail! The SS runes retain 100% of its enamel and has a perfect fit. As a bonus this piece comes with its own worn vertical hanger with early nickel Assmann marked nickel clip. The hanger has a period replaced retaining strap. The hanger shows some verdigris next to the nickel. The hanger is RZM marked but no I will not removed it Trust me it’s stamped and quite original. In my opinion this hanger has always been on there so that's where it stays. Expensive. Yes. But try to find an untouched never disassembled Boker!
