The blade on this one is stunning! The crossgrain is absolutely awesome! The tip is perfect, the fit is perfect, the acid etched Kroneck maker mark is beautifully executed and there is no damage! This blade rates a NM/Mint-. The solid nickel hilt fittings are beautifully executed and in fine shape with all matching patina. The eagle crossguard looks excellent! The black hardwood grip is in beautiful condition! You hardly ever find them like this! These grips were boiled in aniline and often want to chip as the dye tends to make them brittle, think SS grips here, this one is definitely better than 95% of them. It has a properly pinned RLB logo. The pins enamel is about 70%. The enamel on these are so thin, and they did not stand up. The black enameled repainted scabbard has 95% paint coverage. It has one pressure mark to the front. The solid nickel scabbard fitting has nice matching patina. All the screws are intact and unturned. It all fits fine and comes with a beautiful factory issued OLC marked hanger. Overall an excellent early solid nickel example! Don’t let someone take this before you!
