Just a wonderful example here! The bright blade on this one looks beautiful! The crossgrain is stunning and runs all the way from the tip to the ricasso! The fit is nice and tight. There are a few wee tiny dots of age..The blade rates NM. The original leather buffer pad remains intact. The steel based, silver plated scabbard looks excellent sporting the correct round scabbard band holes attributed to the Social Welfare organization. It is a bout as good as it gets. With 100% of the plating remains intact! It remains completely dent free and both throat retaining screws remain intact! The zinc based, silver plated crossguard and pommel are both in super condition, with no plating loss! The medallion on the crossguard has fine vaulting to the swastika on the bird's chest and the cross in its talons. The brass pommel screw cap is near perfect! Now that's a rare sight! Most of these have been buggered up from unknowledgeable people trying to tighten the blade. Not this one though! The pommel itself has some age cracking that we do see from time to time on these zinc based fittings. The orange trylon grip is in super condition remaining chip and crack-free, it displays the often seen one tone darker to the obverse. This comes with a nice set of original SW hangers. Overall this is a wonderful piece with excellent features! One you will surely be proud to own!
