Here's a fine example of a H?ller 2nd Model Luftwaffe Dagger! The bright quality blade on this example is in excellent shape! As you pull the scabbard out and take a look down the entire length of the blade, you can see a wonderful factory crossgrain to either side, where it ends at a sharply pointed tip! To the back of blade you will find a beautifully executed, acid etched: "F. W. H?ller Solingen" maker mark! And, with no wiggle, the blade is tightly secured to the hilt. This nice blade rates Mint-! It does show some minor runner marks but that's about it! The original brown, pebbled, leather buffer pad remains intact, and provides a nice seal for the steel plated scabbard. The airplane grey scabbard remains completely dent free and provides some wonderful details throughout! To its symmetrical body you will find random pebbling, along with an oak leaf and acorn motif towards the tip. It also has two separately inserted scabbard bands, with a similar motif. The throat retaining screws remain intact and unturned! The aluminium crossguard also depicts beautiful craftsmanship; with an outstretched Luftwaffe eagle clutching a swastika within its talons and the top side embossed oak leaf and acorn motif! The aluminium pommel and steel plated ferrule are also beautifully detailed with proud oak leaves and acorns. The off white celluloid over a wood based grip looks good as well! It is chip and crack free. The original springy wire wrap remains intact. Overall this example shows great condition, detail and quality! Just what you're looking for!
