A nice piece! Given by the Deutsche Arbeitsfront (German Labor Front) for the year long program advocating the joy of sport for physical training for a healthier work force. It is constructed out of an injection molded bakelite base that has been bronze painted. The round shaped obverse features a running man and woman (behind the man), in front of a DAF emblem (mobile swastika surrounded by a cog wheel) surrounded by “Sportappell Der Betriebe 1939”. The full back reverse is maker marked: “Richard Sieper & Sohne RZM M9/25 Lüdenscheid” and has a molded on well working pin assembly. It measures approximately 15/16 of an inch wide. A nice one!
