A decent Veteran obtained piece here! The blade on this one is in an uncleaned state. Other than wiping off the oil that's it. The crossgrain shines nicely in the light! The dark and crisp acid etched "Alles fur Deutschland" motto and double Oval maker mark are beautifully executed! The fit remains nice and tight and the tip comes to what looks like a perfect point! The blade has some age. The blade rates a Exc. The brown anodized scabbard has a nice finish with honest wear I would say 99% of the anodizing! It remains completely dent free! The solid nickel scabbard fittings and crossguards remain in great shape! They have matching patina and wear. The reverse of the lower crossguard is marked Nrh. The ball has taken a hit and all 4 screws remaining intact! The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect and closes with a snap! The hardwood grip looks great! It shows the common pressure marks throughout. No cracks or splits! The grip / crossguard fits are near perfect! The solid nickel eagle retains beautiful details and has a perfect fit. The SA roundel also has a perfect fit and retains 25% of its enamel. Nicely finishing this is a Assmann marked hanger.!
