A minty piece! The blade on this one looks great! The hand stamped and blackened "RZM M7/31" (August Merten Mw., Solingen-Grafrath) maker mark is dark, crisp and beautifully executed! It has a solid fit and a perfect tip. The blade rates an easy NM. It shows the common runner marks and minor age spotting but that's it. The original black leather buffer pad continues to remain intact. The steel based, black enamel painted scabbard is in excellent condition! It shows some surface scratches yet retains 97%+ of its paint coverage and it remains completely dent free! The folded over blackened leather strap retains all of its rivets and the snap continues to work well! The leather is in wonderful condition! The hilt is constructed out of a zinc alloy base that has been nickel-silver plated. The plating remains in excellent condition, being 97%+ intact. The two black checkered, bakelite grip plates are tightly secured to the hilt by two steel rivets. To the center obverse of the grip is a late HJ diamond. The enamel remains 99%+ intact! A wonderful piece all around!
