It’s rare to find these early tombak/nickel-silver examples! The die struck: clips and grommets are tombak based. The bands, buckles and back connector are made out of a nickel-silver base that has been burnished and silver washed. The bands and buckles depict oak leaves and acorns throughout over a decorative lined background. The obverse stitching and flatwire are in good condition. The felt remains 65%+ intact. The cloth shows thread fraying throughout. The one clip’s holding portion to the cloth is bent. Both clips work well. A fine set for an early army!
