Another quality piece by Carl Eickhorn! The bright blade on this one looks wonderful. The crisp acid etched "Eickhorn Solingen" / "RZM M7/66" maker marks and "40" date stamp are all beautifully executed and provide an awesome contrast to the bright blade! The tip comes to a perfect point and the fit is tightly secured. Wonderful crossgraining remains all the way from the ricasso to the tip! The blade rates a solid NM. It shows the slightest spotting and the common surface scratches/runner marks. The original brown leather buffer pad continues to remain intact. The steel based black enamel painted scabbard looks great. It retains 60%+ of its original paint coverage and remains completely dent free! The blackened scabbard leather remains in great condition. All of its rivets are intact and the button continues to work well! The zinc-alloy based nickel-silver plated hilt has lost its plating. The black bakelite checkered grip plates are in near perfect shape being tightly secured by two steel rivets. The HJ diamond retains 99%+ of its enamel! A great piece that would fit nicely in your collection!
