Here’s a nice looking example of an Army Pioneer EM/NCO Visor Cap. The visor is constructed of field-grey wool with forest green band and black identifying pioneer waffenfarbe piping. All of the wool is in wonderful condition! It has just one wee nip to the piping. It has the correct silvered aluminum wreath and cockade along with the correct silvered aluminum army eagle insignia. The black leather chinstrap shows age crazing/cracking throughout. The visor top has an internal wire stiffener. The black/brown lacquered vulcanfiber visor peek shows some wear to the outer edge. The interior is lined in a light brown cotton. The brown ersatz leather sweat-band shows crazing and is cracked in several places. It is starting to come off of the visor. Approximately 60% of tis stitching remains intact. The top has a celluloid sweat diamond that is cracked to the one side. Underneath it is sized “56”. A great display piece!
