A beautiful early example, fit just right for your collection! The blade on this one looks great! The crisp acid etched "Blut und Ehre!" motto, Christmas Tree "Solingen" (Wilhelm Halbach, Solingen-Foche) maker mark and "Ges. Geschützt" stamp all are beautifully executed! The tip comes to a perfect point and the fit is tightly secured. You can still see some crossgraining! The blade rates an Exc++. It shows spotting/age greying throughout, there is a slight hit to the cutting edge along with the common surface scratches/runner marks. The original blackened leather buffer pad continues to remain intact. The steel based black anodized painted scabbard looks wonderful! It shows the slightest oxidization spotting and surface scratches throughout. It holds a nice and dark finish to it! The blackened scabbard leather remains in wonderful condition. All of its steel rivets are intact and the button continues to work well! The reverse of the leather is "L.F.S." marked. The steel based nickel-silver plated hilt retains 75%+ of its plating. The black bakelite checkered grip plates are in near perfect shape and secured by two nickel-silver rivets. There is the slightest wiggle to the reverse grip plate. The HJ diamond retains 99%+ of its enamel! A great piece that would fit nicely in your collection!
