Here's a quality piece! The blade on this one looks great! The acid etched “Alles fur Deutschland” motto and “Hugo Linder Deltawerk Solingen” maker mark are both crisp and beautifully executed! The crossgrain continues to remain visible to some areas. The tip comes to a sharp point and the fit is nice and tight! The blade rates a solid Exc++. It shows heavy surface scratches throughout (please not these are hard to get by photo) as though someone has attempted to clean it along with minor spotting. The steel based period re-painted redish/brown enamel painted scabbard looks great. 92%+ paint coverage remains intact. It continues to remain completely dent free. The solid nickel-silver scabbard fittings look excellent, matching the crossguards in color and patina! The ball remains perfectly round. Four screws are intact, three are replacements. The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect and closes with a snap. The solid nickel-silver crossguards look excellent as well. The reverse of the lower crossguard is stamped “Nrh” (Niederrhein). The brown multi-toned hardwood grip looks decent. It has severals hits to the obverse and there are two cracks. The solid nickel eagle is nicely detailed and has a perfect fit. The SA roundel also has a perfect fit and retains 99%+ of its enamel! A great example!
