Ok guys I picked this up years and years ago. It was in real rough shape with some oxidation and paint loss. I had it professionally restored and now it looks great. It remains dent-free with perfect NPEA olive green paint! The plated scabbard fittings remain nice and bright, they do show some pitting that for the most part has been polished out. It has minor lifting but honestly not much. All of the screws remain intact and the ball remains perfectly round! The nickel chain has 5 ringlets to the top and 7 to the bottom, terminating at a well-working DRGM marked zinc clip. The scabbard chain set up is text book and can be seen on pg 14 of Ron's excellent reference. As was the case with some of these earlier Burgsmuller scabbards the lower fitting uses headless screws.
