Another one to add to the NSDAP Day Badge collection! It is constructed out of an injection molded white bakelite base that has been copper washed. The shield shaped obverse features the Alsfeld Town Hall (Rathaus) underneath a National eagle, with outstretched wings clutching a wreathed mobile swastika in its talons, which is flanked by “1939” (19 –left, 39 – right) and is partially surrounded by “Kreistag NSDAP Alsfeld-Lauterbach 1939” (District Day). The full back reverse has a horizontally melted on steel round plate pin assembly that remains in well working condition. It also reads: “Richard Sieper & Söhne, Lüdenscheid” and “RZM M9/25”. It shows minor verdigris to the obverse. Nice color and detail! It measures approximately 1 1/8 inches wide by 1 7/16 inches tall. A great piece!
