A quality early example ripe for the picking! The thin mottoed blade on this one looks great. The acid etched "Blut und Ehre!" motto and "Herm. Konejung A.-G. Solingen" / "Ges. Geschützt" maker mark are beautifully executed! The tip comes to a perfect point and the fit is tightly secured. The blade rates an Exc+/Exc++. It has surface scratches and age grey/spotting throughout. The leather buffer pad continues to remain intact. The steel based black enamel painted scabbard looks good. It shows minor surface scratches yet holds 95%+ of its original paint coverage and continues to have a nice and dark finish, remaining completely dent free. The thin folded brown leather strap retains all of its rivets and the snap continues to work very well! The steel based nickel-silver plated hilt retains 95%+ of its plated finish. Minor bubbling throughout. The black bakelite checkered grip plates are in perfect shape and are tightly secured by two solid nickel-silver rivets. The HJ diamond retains 98%+ of its enamel. A nice early mottoed piece!
