A nice looking one by a rarer maker! It is constructed of a die stamped nickel-silver base that has been silver washed. The round shaped obverse depicts a closed winged Hitler Youth eagle clutching a HJ diamond in its talons in front of a pebbled round background. Above the eagle is the Hitler Youth motto reading: "Blut und Ehre" (Blood and Honor). This is encircled by detailed lines which are enclosed by two twisted ropes and is surrounded by a thin smooth exterior border. The reverse of the buckle shows a mirror image of the obverse and has the proper crimped catch and steel prong assembly. The catch is correctly maker marked "RZM M4/119" (Eugen Schmiedhäusler, Pforzheim). It measures approximately 2 inches in diameter. Nice patina, detail and silver wash!
