Nice example here in gilt aluminum. The plated blade rates NM being bright and clean with NO nail catchers. The blade is stamped with the correct mid-period Eickhorn maker mark and retains it's factory buffer. This pattern is illustrated in Angolia's reference pg 77. The black enamel painted scabbard is dent-free. It has good original paint with normal wear and scuffs I have shown you the worse of. The paint is better than 98%. This is a aluminum based example with some wear to the high areas but other than that the gilt remains. The top of the hilt has a huge oak-leaf that expertly covers the tang. The eagle is a big Art-Deco design. To the reverse is a Jeweler engraved coat-of-arms. Sorry I do not recognize it but if you do pls share with me. Se the unicorn in the center? Cool! The grip is black celluloid and is in perfect shape without chips or cracks. It is wrapped with triple wire.
