A beautiful etched example awaiting display in your collection! The obverse of the frosted etched blade, display an elegant “Zur Erinnerung an meine Dienstzeit” inscription. The details to the flourished eagle, helmet and decorative Celtic type bookends are attributed to Klaas, so I can say with confidence this is an unmarked Klaas product. All of the features are crisp and clear, just the way you want to see them! The blade rates an Exc++/NM! There are minor surface scratches throughout. The buffer pad continues to remain intact. The steel based, black enamel painted scabbard looks great! It shows some age wear and a bit of oxidation throughout yet continues to 96% coverage and remains completely dent free! The original throat retaining screw remains intact. The hilt looks excellent! It has some minor plating loss yet continues to hold a nice and bright finish! The extra cost stag grip plates are perfect! They are tightly secured to the hilt with two rivets. The pommel has a well working button! Finally this comes with a nice supple early frog. Truly a beautiful etch that would fit nicely into your collection!
