Army Artillery Leutnent Officers Tunic

Here we have an Army (Heer) Leutnent Officers Artillery Tunic (Waffenrock). It is constructed out of a multi-piece field-gray and forest green (collar) wool. The wool shows only minor mothing throughout and remains very clean! The tunic has four pleated pockets with buttoned scalloped flaps and French style cuffs. There are three award loops just above the left breast pocket. The front vertical closure has five green-brown painted aluminum pebbled buttons that are all maker marked "MOTZ" (C. W. Motz & Co., Brandenburg a. d.H. ) to the underside. There is a hand stitched on 2nd Class Iron Cross ribbon going through the second button hole. The collar tabs are machine stitched on. They are constructed out of a buckrahm and cardboard base that is covered in a field-gray wool and stitched on bullion/flatwire and rayon threads, along with four bright red (artillery) twisted rayon service branch stripes. The Leutnent rank shoulder boards are the sew-on type. They are constructed out of a cardboard base that is covered in a bright red wool backing with some mothing, and stitched on Russian braid silver-flatwire covered cotton string. The breast eagle is machine embroidered in silver-flatwire and forest green cotton stitching over a field gray wool and has been hand stitched to the tunic. The interior is lined in dark-grey silk-rayon that shows only minor sweat stains/soilage and remains very clean! Just minor wear to the armpit. There is a steel adjustable uniform dagger hanger to the left arm pit. The interior arms are lined in a pearl silk-rayon.The interior arms are lined in a white and grey lined silk-rayon. The tunic is a size medium.
