The earliest production SA from Eickhorn for someone who demands the best! The bright blade on this one looks excellent! The crossgrain looks stunning in the light! The jet black and crisp acid etched "Alles fur Deutschland" motto and "Carl Eickhorn Solingen" maker mark are beautifully executed! The fit remains nice and tight and the tip comes to a perfect point! The blade rates an Mint-. There is one or two tiny dots of age, but that's it. The brown anodized scabbard has 95%+ of factory lacquer and 100% of anodizing! It remains completely dent free! The solid nickel scabbard fittings and hand chased crossguards remain in great shape! Peek under the lower and you will see it's benchmarked "0". They have just a wee bit of pitting right next to the wood, likely there was some vertigris in there at some point. The reverse of the lower crossguard is marked "Wf" (Westfallen). The ball remains round and all four screws remaining intact and unturned! The scabbard / crossguard fit is perfect and closes with a snap! The multi-toned hardwood grip looks beautiful! No chips, cracks or splits! The grip / crossguard fits are perfect! The solid nickel eagle retains beautiful details and has a perfect fit. The SA roundel also has a perfect fit and retains 90% of its enamel! Comes with correct early long snout-nosed hanger. This is an untouched killer dagger direct from the Vet's family, never been apart, could you ask for more?
