Nice and bright! The 7 ¾ inch single fullered plated blade on this one looks great. The plating gives it a nice mirror like finish. The tip comes to a perfectly sharp point and the fit is nice and tight! The blade rates NM. The brown leather buffer pad remains intact. The steel based black enamel painted scabbard looks great! It continues to hold 98%+ paint coverage and remains completely dent free with just the odd scratch and witness marks from where the frog was. The original throat retaining screw remains intact and the ball is perfectly round. The zinc-alloy based, nickel-silver plated hilt looks great as well. The plating remains 97%+ intact. The black chequered bakelite grip plates are in near perfect condition. Both plates are tightly secured to the hilt with two steel rivets. This one comes with a red felt plug to the mortice slot. This is exactly as received from the Vet’s family a few weeks ago. A great inexpensive way to add to add an edged weapon to your collection!
