Here's an example that was purchased from the Vet's family by me, it's all been together forever. The blade on this example shows some minor age peppering, likely from old fingerprints. The crossgrain is stunning against the light, the tip is perfect! The blade rates a Exc+/Exc++. The steel scabbard is in excellent condition with original factory nickel plating intact! It has a few minor areas of wear but that's it. The scabbard bands are aluminium. It fits the crossguard perfectly, remains completely dent free and its throat retaining screws continue to remain intact! The crossguard looks awesome! It is beautifully detailed throughout the eagle's feathers and wings along with the top side embossed acorns and oak leaves! The ferrule and pommel are both nicely detailed and in excellent condition! The dark orange trylon grip looks excellent remaining chip and crack-free. The brass wire wrap remain in excellent condition and has a nice and tight fit. Included is a portepee in great shape as well as a set of hangers. The top clip is dented in a bit but still functions.
