Heroic Emblem KWHW Tinnie 1941/42

Here we have a KWHW ?Day of the Wehrmacht' NSKOV Tinnie 1941/42. This Heroic Emblem (Heroische Emblem - Schwert vor Hakenkreuz im runden Eichenlaubkranz) was a part of the KWKW (kriegswinterhilfswerk) in the "Tag Der Wehrmacht" series during March 28th and 29th 1941/42, and was carried out by the Wehrmacht for the NSKOV, NSRKB, DRK and RTB. It is constructed out of a die struck zinc-alloy base that has been silver washed. The obverse depicts a centrally placed broad sword in front of a mobile swastika, sun rays encircled by an oak leaf wreath. The reverse shows a back with a soldered horizontally crimped on steel well working pin assembly. The reverse is also marked "0 1". Nice detail and silver wash remain! It measures approximately 7/8 of an inch wide by 1 5/16 inches tall. An inexpensive addition to your collection!
