A unique piece! It is constructed out of a die stamped nickel base that has been black burnished. The shield shaped obverse features the High Tauern mountain range, flanked by the Salzburg coat of arms (below an oak leaf cluster) and a helmet (below an oak leaf cluster), and above "50 Wiegenfest d. Krieger u. Veteran. V. Bruck a. d. Glocknerstr. 15. 9. 35." (50th Birthday of Warriors and Veterans from Bruck an der Großglocknerstraße - September 15th 1935) with an edelweiss flower to the bottom, all bordered in oak leaves. The hollow back reverse has a horizontally soldered on round plate pin assembly that remains in well working condition. The round plate is maker marked: "Ridian Ried Innkreis". It measures approximately 1 5/16 inches wide by 1 11/16 inches tall. A neat piece for the right person!
