A four piece group, attributed to: “Altmann Heinrich”, consisting of; a Flak Helper Service Certificate, a Hitler Youth Flak Helpers Breast Eagle and 2 photos.
The Hitlerjugend Luftwaffenhelfer Hoheitsabzeichen is constructed out of a black cotton base with blue machine embroidered cotton stitching. The obverse features, all in blue; a Luftwaffe 2nd pattern eagle, with outstretched wings clutching a mobile swastika in one of its talons , below “LH” (Luftwaffenhelfer ‐ Air Force Auxiliary) all within a downward pointing triangle, which all lies on a black backing. It measures approximately 4 ¼ inches wide by 2 3/8 inches tall.
The Service Certificate is constructed out of a blue printed paper base. It features an anti-aircraft gun surrounded by an oak leaf wreath above: “Der Hitlerjunge Altmann Heinrich Geboren Am 4.9.1928 Hat vom 3. 7.1944 bis 16. 1.1945 der Luftwaffe als luftwaffen helfer angehort Anlasslich Seines Ausscheidens Wird Ihm Hierdurch Fur Den Dem Vaterland in Jungen Jahren Geleisteten Kriegshilfsdienst dank und Anerkennung Ausgesprochen” (The Hitlerjunge Altmann Heinrich Born On September 4, 1928 The Luftwaffe was born as an air force helper from the 3rd of January 1944 to 16 January 1945. On the occasion of his departure, he is thanked and acknowledged for the help of the war service provided to the fatherland during his boyhood) and a Luftwaffe eagle flaked by a stamp and signature of the battery commander, all bordered in a “Greek Key” pattern. It measures 5 3/16 inches wide by 8 1/8 inches tall.
The two black and white photos are glued to a cardboard base.
Comes with a piece of paper which reads: “Photographs of Boy (Taken From France) and also his certificate & Flak Helber Badge (Boy Killed defending Berlin 1945”. An interesting group!
